In the beginning it was great. I had NO problems here whatsoever, and it was a great place to come and share your work, view others' work, and get/give feedback. I loved this site back then.
After a couple years went by, I started to notice that I was being "attacked" by malicious sites while I was browsing on dA. No big deal, my anti-virus program always blocked that stuff so nothing ever happened to my comp.
Last year, this sort of thing happened more and more.
I reported the issue to the help desk, and they directed me to a page I was supposed to fill out. Date and time, URL, some stupid log thing from a program that I "should have" but I downloaded and it made absolutely no sense, plus about 4 other things that weren't even necessary. I had the URL, which I provided to them, which is all they actually NEEDED to fix the problem, and yet, the problem wasn't resolved. I was still getting attacked by this same website, which is connected to the advertisements, plus there were MORE of them!
Last night was the last straw for me. One of those stupid things connected to my computer and I absolutely COULD NOT close out of it. It almost crashed my fucking computer! I had to have a friend of mine come over and install some things on my computer to fix it and block the ads so this wouldn't happen again.
You might be wondering, what's your point to all this ranting?
Well, here it is people.
I think deviantART has finally become the money-hungry, corporate monster that people have been talking about for a couple years now. It's finally here.
I honestly think deviantART is allowing this shit to happen, so they'll get more subscribers because when you subscribe there are no more ads. Do you really think that's a coincidence? After the BBB and another source gave deviantART.com horrible reviews, all of the sudden there are all these malicious advertisements attacking my computer as well as many many others? I don't think there's any coincidence there.
Plus, this has turned into the new Myspace... people make accounts on here just to role-play with others, and don't even HAVE any art on here, or don't even CARE TO IMPROVE.
I've already sent the note to most of my watchers with my email address if any of you want to get ahold of me or view any of my future works.
But I am done with this site.
If my IP address gets banned for this, it will only prove my point. So, I welcome the Admins to share their explanations, since I'm sure you all will have something different to say.
Kudos from this Canadian photographer.

Reacting to my environment, 360 degrees, am always focused on that next capture. RIP Tassja after 98 years of giving joy to your canine master (in dog years) following your death on July 1, 2009 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.

It's been awhile since I've seen the way the candles light your face, and it's been awhile, but I can still remember just the way you taste.
